Agent Sandboxing
Agent sandboxing refers to running AI agents, the systems that can take actions like executing code, browsing the web, or changing files on their own, inside a restricted environment that limits what they can reach. The goal is to contain damage if an agent is manipulated by malicious input or makes a mistake, so that it cannot access sensitive data, alter production systems, or spread beyond its assigned task. For compliance and risk teams, sandboxing is a practical control to ask vendors and internal builders about when they deploy agents that touch customer data, finances, or critical infrastructure.
