Agent Supply Chain
An agent supply chain refers to the ecosystem of tools, models, data sources, and third-party services that an AI agent depends on to function. In enterprise settings, this includes the vendors providing foundation models, the APIs and data feeds the agent calls, any specialized plugins or extensions it uses, and the infrastructure hosting it. Securing and governing this supply chain matters because a compromise at any point—a malicious update to a plugin, poisoned training data, a breached API key, or a vendor's system going down—can undermine the agent's security, accuracy, and reliability, exposing your organization to operational risk, regulatory violations, and reputational harm.
