AI-Enabled Fraud

AI-enabled fraud covers scams and deception schemes where criminals use generative AI tools to make fake voices, videos, documents, or messages that pass as real people or organizations. Common examples include voice clones that impersonate an executive to authorize a wire transfer, and synthetic identities built to pass customer onboarding checks. For enterprises, this raises direct exposure to financial loss, business email and payment fraud, and failures in identity verification controls that were designed before these tools became cheap and convincing.
