IPO Filing
An IPO filing is the registration statement a company submits to securities regulators, such as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, before selling shares to the public for the first time. For AI companies, these documents are increasingly important governance sources because they disclose risk factors, pending litigation, regulatory exposure, and how the company describes its own AI safety and data practices. Compliance and risk teams can use them to benchmark disclosure norms and to spot governance gaps that may later draw scrutiny from investors or regulators.
