Model Weight Security
Model weight security refers to protecting the learned numerical parameters that make up a trained AI model, the core asset that encodes what the model knows and how it behaves. If those weights are stolen, copied, or tampered with, a competitor or attacker can reproduce the model without paying for its development, or alter its outputs in ways that go unnoticed. For enterprises, this affects intellectual property protection, vendor and third-party risk management, and the controls regulators increasingly expect around high-capability AI systems.
