Multi-Step Attack Chains
Multi-step attack chains are coordinated sequences of attacks where adversaries exploit multiple vulnerabilities or weaknesses across different systems and defenses to achieve their objective. In AI governance contexts, these attacks are particularly dangerous because they can target data pipelines, model training environments, and inference systems in succession, potentially compromising the entire AI supply chain. Organizations need robust monitoring, threat detection, and incident response capabilities to identify and interrupt these chains before an attacker achieves their final goal.
