Post-Market Monitoring

Post-market monitoring is the ongoing process of watching how an AI system performs and behaves after it has been deployed and is in real use, rather than only testing it before launch. Under the EU AI Act, providers of high-risk AI systems must run a documented monitoring plan that collects performance data, tracks incidents, and feeds findings back into risk management. For compliance and risk teams, it is the mechanism that catches problems like accuracy drift, bias that emerges with new user populations, or harms that pre-release testing missed.
