Post-Market Surveillance

Post-market surveillance refers to the ongoing monitoring and review of AI systems after they have been deployed and are actively in use by customers or the public. This practice captures real-world performance data, user complaints, safety incidents, and drift in model behavior over time that testing before launch may not have caught. For compliance and risk management, post-market surveillance creates the evidence trail needed to detect harms early, demonstrate due diligence to regulators, support product liability defenses, and justify decisions to pause or modify systems.
