Provenance Controls
Provenance controls are systems and processes that track the origin, history, and lineage of data and models throughout an organization's AI pipeline. These controls document where data comes from, how it has been processed or transformed, and which models or systems have used it, creating an auditable record of the entire AI lifecycle. For enterprise governance, provenance controls are essential for demonstrating compliance with regulations, investigating model failures or bias issues, and ensuring accountability when AI systems produce unexpected outcomes.
