Software Assurance

Software assurance is the practice of establishing justified confidence that software works as intended and is free of exploitable flaws or malicious code throughout its lifecycle. For AI governance, it matters because AI systems are built on large stacks of third-party code, models, and libraries, and organizations increasingly need evidence of where that code came from and how it was tested. Regulators and procurement teams now often ask for this proof, so software assurance is a key part of demonstrating due diligence on AI vendors and internal builds.
