Nvidia Manager Indicted in 130-Server AI Hardware Smuggling Scheme

Taiwan has indicted nine people, including an alleged Nvidia senior manager and two Supermicro employees, for forging documents to conceal the illegal export of 130 high-end AI servers to China in violation of US export controls. Investigators found that 74 of the servers reached Chinese customers before Taiwanese customs intercepted the remaining 56. The case is prompting US legislative action through the proposed Remote Access Security Act to address cloud-based access loopholes.
