Third-Party Certification
Third-party certification is an independent audit by an accredited outside body that verifies an AI system or organization meets a defined standard, such as ISO/IEC 42001, the international standard for AI management systems. For enterprise buyers and regulators, it provides evidence of governance practices that does not rest solely on a vendor's own claims. Certificates typically have a defined scope and expiry, so compliance teams should check which products and processes a certificate actually covers and whether it remains current.
