Token Fraud
Token fraud refers to the unauthorized creation, manipulation, or misuse of API tokens and authentication credentials to gain illicit access to AI systems and data. In enterprise environments, compromised tokens can enable attackers to bypass security controls, access proprietary models, exfiltrate training data, or inject malicious prompts at scale. Organizations must implement strict token lifecycle management, rotation policies, and monitoring to detect anomalous token usage patterns and prevent credential-based breaches.
