Vendor Terms
Vendor terms are the contractual provisions an AI provider sets for how its models, APIs, and products may be used, including restrictions on use cases, data handling, liability caps, and whether customer inputs can train future models. For enterprise buyers, these terms often matter as much as the technology itself, because they determine who bears responsibility when outputs cause harm and whether sensitive company or customer data stays confidential. Changes to terms of service, acceptable use policies, or data processing addendums can quietly shift a company's compliance position, so legal and risk teams need to review them whenever a vendor updates its agreements.
