AI Deployment Standards
AI deployment standards are the documented technical and procedural benchmarks that govern how AI systems are released into production, covering things like testing thresholds, monitoring, access controls, incident response, and rollback procedures. Examples include the NIST AI Risk Management Framework (a voluntary US guide for identifying and managing AI risks) and ISO/IEC 42001 (an international certifiable standard for AI management systems). For compliance and risk teams, these standards give auditors and regulators a common yardstick, and adopting one can serve as evidence of reasonable care when an AI system causes harm.
