AI Influence Operations
AI influence operations are coordinated campaigns that use generative AI to create or amplify political, commercial, or social messaging, often while concealing who is behind them. Common tactics include producing large volumes of fake personas, articles, and comments, cloning the voices or faces of real people, and running networks of accounts that appear to be independent. For enterprises, these campaigns create exposure through brand impersonation, fabricated reputational attacks against executives, and deceptive content that may breach platform rules, advertising disclosure requirements, or emerging election and deepfake laws in the EU, US states, and elsewhere.
