Information Integrity

Information integrity refers to the trustworthiness and accuracy of content that AI systems produce or spread, including the risk of fabricated quotes, fake images, synthetic audio, and misleading summaries. For enterprises, it matters because AI-generated material can reach customers, regulators, or the public under the company's name, creating exposure for defamation, false advertising, and consumer deception claims. Governance teams typically address it through output review, provenance labeling, and policies that define where AI-generated content may be used without human verification.
