AI Redress
AI redress refers to the mechanisms that let people who were harmed by an automated decision seek correction, compensation, or an explanation. This includes appeal processes, complaint channels, human review requests, and legal remedies when an AI system denies someone a loan, job, benefit, or insurance claim. For enterprises, it matters because regulators such as the EU under its AI Act and data protection authorities increasingly require organizations to offer these routes and to document how they handle them. Weak or missing redress processes can turn a single flawed model output into a regulatory violation and a lasting reputational problem.
