Disclosure Requirements
Disclosure requirements are legal or regulatory obligations that compel organizations to tell regulators, customers, or the public about certain facts concerning their AI systems, such as when a person is interacting with a chatbot, when content has been generated or manipulated by AI, or when an AI system has caused a security incident or data breach. For enterprise AI governance teams, these rules set concrete deadlines and content standards that must be built into product, legal, and incident response workflows. Failing to disclose on time can bring penalties that are separate from whatever underlying problem the AI system caused.
