FastMCP

FastMCP is an open-source Python framework that developers use to build servers implementing the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the open standard that lets AI assistants connect to outside tools, data sources, and services. Because these servers often hold credentials and grant AI agents access to company systems, the security and reliability of the framework and the servers built on it directly affect what an AI system can reach inside an organization. Governance teams should track FastMCP-related vulnerabilities and inventory any internal MCP servers, since a flaw in one of them can expose data or let an AI agent take actions nobody intended.
