Grant Compliance

Grant compliance refers to the obligations that organizations accept when they receive funding from government agencies, foundations, or other sponsors, including rules on how money is spent, how results are reported, and whether required conditions are met. In AI governance, this matters when grants fund model development, data collection, or research involving automated systems, because sponsors may attach conditions on transparency, data handling, or responsible use. Failing to meet these terms can lead to clawbacks of funds, debarment from future awards, or reputational harm.
