Hidden Instructions
Hidden instructions are commands planted inside content that an AI system reads, such as a web page, email, document, or code comment, where a person would not notice them but the model will follow them. This is often called prompt injection, and it can cause an AI assistant to leak confidential data, take unauthorized actions, or give manipulated answers. For enterprises, it matters because any AI tool that reads outside content can be turned against the organization's own users and data.
