Regulatory Mapping

Regulatory mapping is the process of tracing how specific laws, standards, and regulatory requirements apply to an organization's AI systems, controls, and business processes. It typically produces a matrix or inventory that links each obligation to the internal policies, technical safeguards, and owners responsible for meeting it. For enterprise AI governance teams, it turns a sprawling set of rules, such as the EU AI Act and sector-specific guidance, into an actionable compliance plan that shows where gaps exist before a regulator or auditor finds them.
