Runtime Authorization

Runtime authorization refers to controls that decide, at the moment an AI agent or model tries to take an action, whether that specific action is permitted. Instead of granting an AI system broad access once and hoping for the best, these checks evaluate each request against defined policies, such as which data the system may read, which tools it may call, or which payments it may approve. For compliance and risk teams, this matters because it creates an enforceable record of what the AI was allowed to do and gives a point where prohibited actions can be blocked before they cause harm.
