Independent Assurance

Independent assurance is the practice of having a qualified third party examine an organization's AI systems, controls, or governance processes and report on whether they work as claimed. For enterprise leaders, it provides evidence that can be shared with regulators, customers, and boards, rather than relying solely on the organization's own statements. Common forms include external audits, certifications against recognized standards, and conformity assessments that some laws, such as the EU AI Act, will require for high-risk systems.
